Hi! I’m Sara

An animal lover, a life-long advocate, and a forever student of personal development. Dedicated to supporting you in releasing the stress and overwhelm that comes along with being human, I’m a strong believer in teaching you the skills to affect change in your own life. It’s in my ethical code that you won’t be dependent on me as a psychotherapist to do the healing for you. Instead, I will teach you how to do it yourself, then we’ll celebrate when you eventually don’t need sessions with me at all!

I’m experienced in numerous healing modalities, and YOU choose what you’re comfortable with. I facilitate holistic psychotherapy, brainspotting, hypnotherapy, reiki, and somatic approaches to reprogram the body and brain. Learn more about these services here.

My trauma training and Master’s degree in Psychology lead me to use gentle healing modalities that are effective at healing the body and emotions with your commitment to progress. I started my healing journey 17 years ago and continue to use the same modalities I facilitate with clients. When we work together, I’ll bring an understanding and commitment to lead you toward learning these same skills.

What led me to this healing work?

I believe in self-disclosure in the service of validating the experiences of others, sharing that we are all human. Mental health challenges can be a typical human experience, rather than something that should be hidden and stigmatized.

I spent much of my childhood and 20s in a dissociated state due to unhealed trauma, and I coasted through life in “robot mode,” repeating the unhealthy patterns I witnessed in childhood.

Then my body caught up to me, and I became extremely sick, sleeping 20 hours out of the day with a list of symptoms that kept growing. I followed the quiet nudge of my intuition to a holistic practitioner who diagnosed me with late-stage neurological Lyme and a host of other co-infections. My body was functioning at 5-10%. Since my diagnosis, I’ve learned a new way of being that has served the rest of my life.

Personal challenges can be a conduit for healing - in a way, forcing us toward making good changes.

Is it easy? No. It takes conscious effort and a lot of support. But committed to the healing process, it becomes easier.

I believe the best gift we can give ourselves is the healing to reach a peaceful life. I welcome you to call me with any questions to determine if I’m a good fit for your goals.
